Here
is the White Paper, written by IT In-Depth's Anura ['SNA'] Guruge
that fills in the details to Mac Devine's CCL/z interview --
featured on the right.

This
is a major update to the V1R2 White Paper that was available here.
This White Paper is also still available at
ibm.com -- if you would rather get it from there.
V1.2.1 makes the CCL/z even more attractive. With this release the
CCL/z ceases to be just a software-based replacement for the aging
37xxs. Instead it, with features such as integrated DLSw and XOT,
also offers some key SNA modernization options. The CCL/z v1.2.1 is
a bit less than an actual 37xx but at the same time offers a
bit more!

SNA Mainframe
Security
White Paper
Anura Guruge
(e-mail)
It
In-Depth
I never thought I would be writing a White Paper on 'SNA
Mainframe Security' in mid-2009. Over the years I had
written quite a lot about SNA network security,
particularly in the context of Web-to-host.
But, there seemed to be little, if any, need to
elaborate on actual SNA application security on a
mainframes, until now, given that mainframes were
portrayed as being these impregnable fortresses.
Hhmm! You should read the White Paper. It might give you
a whole new project to pursue. It might even give you
ANOTHER career boost. If nothing else it might entertain
you. Who know.
